Submit Wine Events

Share with me upcoming wine events in Portland and across Oregon wine country. Submitted events will be featured in the weekly newsletter and considered for the weekly Instagram weekend post.

The deadline to be included in each Friday afternoon newsletter is Wednesday at 6 pm.
It is recommended that you submit all events for the month before the large beginning-of-the-month newsletter, which goes out every first Friday.

For larger events, such as wine festivals or events that require travel, it is recommended that you submit details at least two weeks in advance.

Event Submission FAQs

  • The best way to share your upcoming events is by email. Please send your event information directly to me rather than relying on Instagram DMs or assuming I will find it on your website.

    I use the events submitted by email to build the monthly PDX Vine & Dine newsletter, and that newsletter becomes one of my primary sources when I put together the weekly weekend events posts on Instagram.

    Submitting your events by email is the best way to make sure they are on my radar.

  • You don't need to send a press release or a perfectly written description. A few key details are all I need:

    • Date(s) and start/end time(s)

    • Event name or theme
      For example: Friday Night Flight: Spain

    • Brief description
      What is being poured? Who is hosting? Are there special guests or anything else people should know?

    • Ticket link and/or pricing, if applicable

    If your full month of events isn't finalized yet, send me what you have. A partial list is still helpful, and you can always send updates later.

  • The newsletter always goes out Friday afternoon. All events should be in by 6 pm on the Wednesday before.

    For example, the September newsletter goes out Friday, September 4th, with events due by 6 pm on Wednesday, September 2nd.

    Upcoming dates to note:

    • Big September newsletter goes out Friday, Sept. 4th

    • Big October newsletter goes out Friday, Oct. 2nd

  • The monthly newsletter includes a running list of upcoming wine events around Portland and Oregon wine country, with events organized by date.

  • The weekly weekend events posts are pulled primarily from the events already included in my newsletter list. I use that list as my starting point when putting together each weekend's roundup.

    Because of that, submitting your events for the monthly newsletter is also the best way to get them on my radar for the weekly Instagram posts.

    The Instagram posts are intended to highlight what's happening that particular weekend, so inclusion can vary from week to week depending on the number and type of events happening. The number of events are capped at 20 because that is how many accounts I can tag on Instagram per post.

  • No. The monthly newsletter and weekly Instagram event lists are a community service project, and PDX Vine & Dine does not receive payment, commissions, affiliate income, or other compensation for including your events.

    The goal is to make it easier for people to discover wine events happening around Portland and to help connect local wine businesses with people who want to attend them.
